Teaching jewelry is more than just a job. It is my passion. After teaching computer and programming languages for many years, the transition to teaching jewelry was the most exciting and rewarding experience. As a way for me to get into the studio and learn how to use my own tools, I began a feature called Tool Time Tuesday. It is quite a popular program on my YouTube Channel (www.Youtube.com/MelissaMuir). So not only do I continue to learn about new tools and techniques in a metalsmithing/jewelry studio, but you get to learn them along with me. Yes, I am a tool junkie, and I LOVE it.

About this Course

In this INTERMEDIATE soldering course, you will work through a project creating the Orbit Bracelet while learning how to work with multiple solder joints as well as learning better torch control to include delicate items, such as tube settings. You will be introduced to a couple of different tools to set round faceted CZ's into the bracelet. I will introduce you to silicone polishing wheels to give our bracelet a nice high shine and finish.

We will be working with sterling silver wire and settings, however, other materials can easily be substituted. You may use any appropriate torch you wish. We will be using a Jumbo Max Flame Butane torch.

This course includes 9 videos as well as at least one live webinar session - Date to be determined.
